Mother's Day

Mother's day is a good thing. But sometimes I wish that every day could just be Mother's day, and Father's day and Children's day, that we honored each other always, all day. But this would be too much, so we narrow the day for mothers down to a Sunday in May. I look forward to those phone calls and I plan on them. Also, I love flowers and this year I have two bunches to show off.

Vere used to say, "You're not MY mother" and didn't see why he should get me flowers. But now he does. The tall ones in the picture are from him and the lavender arrangement is from my girls. I will save the roses by hanging them upside down and letting them dry - but only after I've enjoyed them fresh for awhile. Love to my family!!
