This quilt is about 12 years old, at least the pieces are. Tina designed the pattern from a counted cross stitch pattern when Val and Greg were married. She started cutting out the pieces then. I started sewing it together last year and finally got it finished. I didn't feel like sending it out to be machine quilted so I hand quilted it. It took longer than I thought it would and I kept thinking it was finished. Then I'd spread it out and find another huge section that wasn't even touched.

I got the center sewn together and then couldn't decide how to border it. I went down to the local fabric center and found the perfect blue to tie it all together. I really love this quilt, it's beautiful if I say so myself.
