receiving blankets

I made two, lightweight blankets to send to Jill.  The one folded at the top is a simple fabric of bright pink hearts.  The other, I worked so hard on, appliquing all those little tiny pieces.......or not.  It is a panel of, I think crazy cute pictures.  I did have to make an effort to match up the squares front to back.  I made a simple sewing line around each of the squares, to keep the fabric from sliding around and I wanted them to match a bit, front to back.
