This is the little quilt to hang on my door for Halloween. I was going to sew a pumpkin, but I had these pretty, small 9 patches in the right color. So I just made the scary face to go on the 9 patches.

This is the Thanksgiving quilt for the door. The turkey is a partial Dresden plate using, guess what, some of my plaid fabric. HAPPY??? THANKSGIVING???
This is a small, throw size quilt that has taken years to put together. The small triangle squares are the cut-offs from a huge number of blocks. Corners cut from flying geese, or from snowball blocks. Usually these small corners are just thrown away as scraps, but I've been saving them for years. I had to square them off to a little less than 1 1/2 inches, very tedious. I sewed them together without regard to matching points or saving points and added the large half square triangles to expand what I had. The back is this pretty stripe I found.
