Just north of Moab is the new Dinosaur Museum. Vere went with Jill and Chris. I went later in the week with Val and family. It's worth at least one visit and I think the kids enjoyed it.
While they were here, Parker was able to pass his shooting merit badge with his granddad. Vere is certified to pass off this badge. He took all of the kids (except Tina's little boy) out at one time or another for shooting, even Jill's little girl did some shooting. They spent part of 4 days perfecting Parker's "cluster" so he could pass off this badge.
We went to the Lake Oohwa up in the mountains above Moab, where it was cooler, a beautiful day for a picnic and fishing. We also spent a good part of one day at Ken's Lake, closer to Moab having a picnic and watching the kids swim.. Of course we went to the town pool several times over the week and went out to dinner at the favorite eating places.
