I've done this before. I cut 2 1/2 inch squares from scraps left from larger projects and put the squares in a box. When the box overflows, I take a few days to sew them into blocks. I separate them into bluish and pinkish piles and then put them together into small quilts. I love this pattern, no matter how many I do, Single Irish Chain. The top one, I found the perfect backing, beige with small blue design.
This quilt has some blocks that look very pale. The squares are from material with pale pink, green, and white stripes - very pretty. I wish it showed up more.
See the backing on this one? Plaid, I found the perfect piece in my fabric stash.

I love the fabric on the backing of this one. It was in the bag I set aside for a quilt for Jill's little girl. Jill looked through the fabric and rejected this one. Good for me.
