About 12 or 13 years ago, Vere and Harold (Carlene's husband) built us a deck on the back of the house. I've Always wanted a deck, but our NJ house had a nice patio, and a deck would have only added to our property taxes. The back of our Moab house cried out for a deck, and I finally got one. We got Trex to build it with, so smart, we wouldn't have to refinish a wooden one every summer. Instead, the Trex started flaking off and buckling. So Vere and his friend, Ken, tore down the old deck and they are in the process of building a new one. The Trex company reimbursed us for the materials. Someone in Castle Valley had a use for the old Trex and they took it up to them. Vere is working on it slowly and Ken is helping him. So excited, I love my deck and the view of the valley from the back of our house.
