I just finished this quilt. It's about full size. It's using material I picked up several years ago, someone had a huge estate sale, and what was left was donated to our guild. I took the material because I just loved every bit of it. So I've had it for awhile, trying to decide what would be the best pattern to show it off. This pattern always came back to my mind. I was especially pleased with how the quilting turned out. With a quilt this big I avoid free motion, fancy stuff, just simple lines following the lines of the seams.
The backing also was a real find. Just this past week there was another estate sale from one of our recent guild members. Wow! if you thought I had a lot of fabric stored in my sewing room, you should have seen her supply, and this was after 4 days of estate sale. Anyway, I found this beautiful, pale pick toile fabric, perfect for the back and also several more quilts.
