June 2023, Two Full size quilts for friends.

Our friends, Court and Marnie have two daughters getting married this summer.  My first thought was to jump in the car to go to the receptions.  But that would mean two trips and I just don't travel well,  Really, I don't like to travel any more, strange as that sounds.  So we're staying home and I immediately started on these quilts for them.  I tried to have them ready for the receptions but they'll be just a little late.  The first one is called a Single Irish Chain (my favorite pattern to sew) but this one has added element, there is a snowball square between 9 patch blocks, adding a little extra.

This second quilt is a "25 Patch", that is 25 small squares sewn into a grid with the white sash to separate the 25's.  You would think I had used up all my 2 1/2" squares But I saved back the blues and pinks so that I can make baby quilts soonly.
