after Christmas Twenty/Ten

When we got to Ohio, it was impossibly cold, but by the day we were to leave...well you can see how it was warmed up. Thomas and Maureen in the back of our truck in their pajamas as Vere is packing up. Of course they couldn't have stayed out there long and Curtis was in the truck for awhile and had to go back in for a coat. There was snow when we got there, but by this day the snow was all gone.

A few days after we got home, I had the feeling we hadn't brought the camera in the house and I looked in the truck for it but didn't find it. I was afraid I had left it outside Bruce's house when I took these pictures. I had visions of it turning up next spring lost in the bushes beside the front door. I was so glad when Vere took another look behind the front seat, and there it was, cold but safe.

Fallon in her new winter coat. We have a tradition, when we are in Denver, no matter what time of year, there is snow on the ground to play in. Luckily, they had had a snow storm days before we got there and the next day when we left for Moab, the roads were passable. Merry Christmas Shaye and Fallon. Why didn't I get a picture of the Christmas tree? I don't know.

Shaye in front of Denver house. Shaye likes to be outside, winter or summer. It wasn't too cold, luckily, because I had left my winter coat in Ohio and only had a small jacket.
