Christmas twenty/ten

Greg and Chris, December 23, Thomas's birthday party. Sonya, Jill and Chris got to Ohio late the night before. We were tired but we waited up for them. The first thing I saw was Sonya in Chris's wig. Since it was late, I was dazed and believed she had done something entirely new, and out of character to her hair. she really did look very glamorous with her winter coat and scarf. Everyone was laughing, but it took me a minute to understand.

Chris shaves his head so in the wig he looks very different. Should we take a poll and find out which people prefer. Doesn't matter anyway. Chris teaches school in New Jersey, and apparently his students gave him the wig for Christmas. Good sport, Chris. I would say his students like him and he is good with them.

Wow, good looking sons-in-law. This is Chris in his wig next to Greg working on a game.

Do you recognize Sonya in Chris's wig? It makes her look very different!

Maureen with Spiderman

Thomas has his birthday 12/23, so I made him this quilt. I was only going to make him a small wallhanging, but at the faric store I found this panel and couldn't resist. I did add the small squares around the outside, and happened to have the perfect fabric for the back. Tina and Thomas in the picture too.

Part of Tina in the back. This is the quilt that I made for each of my family. They are similar in that the pattern is the same, but the fabrics in each were different, and the embroidered picture bottom left is different in each. The quilts have a sleeve on the back so it can hang on the wall, and at the end of each ribbon, there is a loop where you can hang an ornament.

Val and Curtis. Little Curtis, he was very confused for a long time at all the big people in his house. He was very clingy to his Mom and Dad for awhile. Then the east coasters (Sonya, Jill and Chris) left and he loosened up a bit. But not much. This picture is of Val after she had a haircut and it looks so good on her. She grows her hair out as long as she can stand it, then has it cut and "gifts" it to an organization that makes wigs for children who've lost their hair to disease.

Oops, I meant to put only one of each picture. This is the other one. Cute, Huh?

I found these good sized buckets, one for each of Val's kids. I could see them piling toys in them or gathering snow in the back yard. Instead we have a Maureen bucket. Even better.

It was kinda hard to get a good picture of my girls playing with the wii. There's Tina, Maureen, Sonya, and Jill playing (I think) Rock Band. It was fun to watch.

In the picture, two beautiful girls with their English dessert for Christmas dinner. Chocolate trifle!! Uhmm.

Thomas likes Spiderman this year and since his birthday is December 23, we were there for it.

He wanted cupcakes instead of a cake and these were a natural.

Sorry, I think it's beautiful. When I took the picture, didn't you think maybe it'd show up on the blog.
