little quilt picture

Our quilt guild has a challenge each spring, I've written about it before. The small quilts are then displayed in the local museum in May and June. Last year the subject was flowers and I did a picture of my granddaughter in her mama's garden, with vegetables and flowers around. This year the challenge "our feathered friends". Birds. I used this as an opportunity to use a pattern Sonya got for me last year of a seaside landscape. Basically, it's uneven horizontal strips of ocean, sand dunes etc. I put a lighthouse in it that looks like Cape May. Eventually I will frame it, I have a dark blue that will be perfect. There is a seagull in the air center right which doesn't look too bad in the real thing. It's hard to see in the picture.

The material I'm putting on for the frame is some dark blue that I think I got from you. Will finish it today, I hope. I just couldn't wait to post the picture.
