Baby quilt for Vere's nephew & wife
Vere's sister, Verlene has a new grandbaby, a boy. Vere suggested I make a quilt for the new addition. I was anxious to try out this pattern I had seen somewhere so it didn't take me long to get started. I had this material for some time and didn't know what to do with it. I didn't want to do elaborate piecing for a front for this, but also didn't want to just "cheat" and pretend it was pieced. I decided this was a perfect, simple front for this fabric. The words were the hardest, I improvised and put them together, and learned a few things about what to do, and what not to do. There's another word associated with babies, but I didn't want it on the quilt. Machine quilting it was a lot of fun.
