One if the members at quilt guild bought a box full of vintage hankerchiefs and made a beautiful butterfly quilt with them.  The rest, she offered to anyone who wanted them.  I grabbed a bunch and have spent hours over a period of months cutting and sewing them into this wall hanging.  I probably spent too much time, but it was an interesting experiment. 

I tacked a couple of little charms in places for interest. 

Now I just need some blue velvet to glue on the back.

I just might make a butterfly quilt from the hankies I have left.  Someday.
