This top picture is the back of a quilt I made. Someone at church had a baby boy and I was experimenting with these short strips to sew them together in long strips first then round and round til it was big enough. I'm not sure I like it, but anyway, it's and experiment, and it's done.
The second picture is of the new baby's Tomten sweater. I made this pattern for every grandbaby and it is so fun to do. I didn't have a zipper that would work, so I looked through the buttons I have thinking I would put on pale pink or white, but decided to use these cute little lady bug buttons instead.
The bottom picture is the front, or other side of the first picture. The little squares are not pieced, just fabric, but I put the plain strip in there so I could put in the words, Eat, Sleep, Play, Love. I was going to embroider the words, or stitch rick rack words, but that was just too hard, Besides, I have these wonderful fabric pens with permanent ink in them. It worked quickly.
