Quiet Book, #2
I did six more pages for the baby's quiet book. Jill said she really explored the other pages in depth so I figured she deserved more. The top is the barn, the doors open to fabric that looks like hay. Val is making animals to go inside the hay pocket. Next is the ice cream where the scoops come off/on. When I was a child we always said "I, C, E, C, ream. so that's what I embroidered there. Then the artist pallet (sp) and then the vegetable garden. I appliqued the farmer's picture and the big gray thing is supposed to be a wheelbarrow. I think the vegetables turned out cute. They come off and can be stored in the wheelbarrow. The bottom picture, I saw on pinterest a lion with ric-rac and ribbon mane. I had this very crazy, fluffy red and yellow yarn perfect for the mane, it is to be braided. Behind his hair, I wrote, "Hairy, the Lyan Lion" The last picture is the mailbox, with two letters inside, one for Grandma and for Grandad.
