quilts for church newborns, 2016

I had a box overflowing of these 2 1/2 inch squares,
I also have tons of light fabric.  I cut up a bunch of the white and then just sewed and sewed.  I got a whole stack of the blocks and then paired them up to make the quilts, - mostly pinkish, mostly blueish and the yellow/green one.  The quilts are to put into the closet at church and give to the newborns when they arrive.

The pattern is usually called, "single Irish Chain"  I really like the Irish Chain quilts.  They are pretty and easy to make.  I was determined to finish these, and quilt them before I let myself start in on something new.  These are finished except for the hand sewing on the binding.
