September 2016 Twin Size in Flannel, for Kids in Crisis

This material was given to be used for the Kids in Crisis project.  It was from the family of a woman in our quilt guild who died recently, leaving a treasure for the rest of us.  It is very heavy, rich in color flannel, so I used larger pieces to put it together.  It still took some time.  I quilted it myself, just straight stitches along the seams.  I happened to have material in my sewing room that was perfect for the backing.  It is heavy flannel I was probably going to use as a nightgown for me.  The colors were exactly right for this quilt, shown on the last picture.
