American Doll, clothes, December 2020

This fancy outfit was made from some very interesting fabric.  Jackie sent a big piece of it to me, so I made this fancy long dress and matching long coat.  The material was a little tricky to work with but not quite as hard to sew on as I would have thought.  I was afraid the needle wouldn't want to go through it.  It tended to mess with the thread and I had to stop, pull the thread out, cut off the raveled up part and rethread the machine.  But looking at the outfit, I think it turned out well.  It needed a necklace and I had just the perfect beads.  I used 4 strands of invisible thread from my quilting supplies to thread the beads and I just attached the necklace to the shoulder seams.

This was a pajama set using the white fleece Jackie sent me.  I had the Christmas flannel for the top.
