Jul 2022, Full Size, "Double Triangle"

I made this quilt for a friend we knew in New Jersey.  She was a teenager when we moved from there, now she's getting married.  I asked her what her favorite color is and she said Purple.  That is a rather unusual favorite color, and surprisingly, I had lots of purple in my stash.  This pattern, a"Double Triangle" is one of my favorites and seemed perfect for this project.  I  used 12" of complimentary fabric for the back, and also some left over blocks from the front, sewn into 12" blocks.  Notice the fabric of purple and pink lilacs, and a couple of triangles of  yellow in the quilt.  Yellow always adds a spark to the quilt.
