The day felt warm but only because the sun was so bright. Vere set me up with the glider on the driveway and I was warm and comfortable with my cape and my little quilt(a gift from Jackie years ago). Valerie had given us the special eclipse glasses and I was ready!! It was so fun, sitting there, resting. I watched as the shadow slowly passed over the sun. There was small indent starting at the top that gradually moved down over the sun. That was when I felt the cold. It was a cold day, but I stayed there till most of the effect of the eclipse was over. Vere, of course, didn't have the patience to sit through it all, but he stopped wandering around now and then to take a look.
