Quiet Book!!

Val and I made a quiet book for Jill's baby.  Val made 4 pages, and I made 8 with the pellon she sent me.  I clipped them together and sent them off this morning.  The top on the left, I strung beads on ribbon (actually ribbon from Jill's wedding), one on the first string, 2 beads on the second and so on.  Below that are 4 zippers of different sizes.  Then Val's cherry pie with "weaving" pie lattice and below that, Mittens and kittens.  I made the mittens with sweater material I've had hanging around since we lived in Maplewood.  Knew it would come in handy some day.  The next picture, I had some awesome fabric with butterflys, I backed them with felt and sewed them to a sky and flower background by their bodies, the butterflys flap their wings.  Below that are balloons velcroed on with a little girl I appliqued on.  Next is a group of flowers from Val, with huge buttons - so cute.  Below that is another appliqued little girl with shapes matching.  The next page, top is a road map from Val with a little car in the pocket and below that are two hands that flop open to see the face.  The next picture I appliqued the yellow seal, just because I thought it was cute with 3 things to touch and feel and Val's crazy little felt animals and the tree.  There's an animal inside the tree with a ribbon to pull it out.  I had a bunch of other ideas, but decided this was enough to see how the baby likes it.  I think they turned out great!  Thanks Val .
