Thanksgiving in Denver, 2008. We were at Bruce and Michelle's with Fallon and Shaye. Jill was there for the afternoon, but left before dinner. We took her to the airport, she flew out to NJ for the week after a quick game of Candyland.
Pictures: Bruce and Michelle, Vere and Shaye haming it up, Shaye in her special holiday dress, and the dinner table. Good pictures, Huh?

last picts from the shore

I put these pictures in backward, and the last is first etc. The top picture is in the car on the way north. Sonya sat in the back seat between Thomas and Maureen. She fell asleep, but Thomas and Maureen didn't. I really love this picture. The next picture is in front of Uncle Bill's, the restaurant that we go to before leaving town, along with half the people leaving town after their week's vacation. It is our reward for cleaning the house that morning and a way to not be so sad for leaving. We get a delicious breakfast. The next picture is in front of our house, about 2 blocks from the beach, and the rental van Greg and Val came to get us in from Boston. It was a great, big, comfortable van. The house was cozy and comfortable, with a great, screened porch in front. In the back was a small storage shed for the umbrellas and our rental bikes. Maureen named it "the barn" the first time she saw it. Greg, Maureen, Sonya, Jill, Thomas, and Val in the picture. Wish I could do this week over and over, but life must go on.

more at the beach

These are pictures of Maureen and Thomas on the beach. The sand was almost hot enough to burn the feet as we walked across it. After they had been in the water for some time, they would run up and dive into the sand and lie there to examine it. Val had gotten protective shirts for them, so they were protected from the sun on their shoulders and backs.

Lighthouse, Cape May

More pictures of the lighthouse at Cape May. Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love the ocean and lighthouses. We climbed the 199 steps and at every step, Maureen said, "I scared". Then at the top she wanted to be held up as high as possible. Val, Greg, Maureen, and Thomas on the light house, July 4, 2008

At the Shore

Finally, I've finished the emails and the cleaning up and I have a chance to put my pictures on the blog. These first two are of the Cape May Lighthouse which is right at the point. We usually ride bikes up to it, thought it's close enough to walk to. We love this lighthouse. The view from the top shows the street our house is on, the one forking to the right. I think our house is just off the picture in the upper right corner.
We all walked to the top, even little Maureen. In my next post, I'll show more pictures in the lighthouse. We walked up 199 steps and it was worth it!!!

Fallon and Shaye

Just wanted to show my picture of the girls, Fallon and Shaye. They were dressed up for a wedding, this was Thanksgiving time. So cute!
I'll be on vacation for two weeks and when I come back, watch out. There will be some awesome picts.

Just got back from Boston by way of Denver. Here's a picture from my trip to the Cape.
