This is the first morning, Vere is dressed up in his deep waders for the river fishing. These "neopreens" are supposed to really keep him dry. Tina and Jan stayed with me in the cabin that day and it was so nice to be quiet, work on our little projects, and just organize the cabin more. The oil stove wasn't working so it was a little cold, but that was one day the sun was shining. I took a chair onto the porch and sat in the sun to read. That lasted about an hour but it was beautiful. Jan was recuperating from pneumonia so she napped a lot the first couple days.

I had quilt squares to applique and Tina had some knitting to work on. It was fun. We also played some games and built a fire in the fire pit. The fishermen got back early that day, about 4:30. They cleaned the fish, we fixed dinner and weren't even finished a ready for bed until about 9:30. The cabin had the main room, and three small rooms, with a small front porch and even smaller back porch. Our room had two bunk beds, the bottom on being larger. Still, they weren't deep enough to hold the mattresses. Tina slept above us and her air mattress hung over aboutr 6 inches. Our queen mattress also hung over 6 inches. Vere slept on the outside, and he rolled over and rolled right out onto the floor in the night.

Jan and Ken slept on the other lower bunk and their son, Travis slept on the upper. Full crowded room!!
