SLC

Vere went to Denver a week ago, Sunday. On Wednesday I drove up north. I was planning to stop in SLC at the local tea party, but it was snowing so hard that I concentrated on the road and missed the turnoff to the city. Oh Well. So I kept on going and got to Carleen's in no time. The other reason for my trip north was to go to a Rachmaninoff (sp) concert. There was one in SLC on Friday and again Saturday. I asked my friend Kathleen to go with me, and she found the same concert was going to be in Ogden, Thursday night, at Weber College. I was so glad to go more local. Then in the middle of the music, I felt I should take the opportunity to go again on Friday. What a spectacular concert!!!
I also took all the quilts I had been making up to Humanitarian Aide. I had 5 twin sized and 3 lap sized. It was nice to get them done and also to get them out of the house. This is a picture of a quilt I made from the some of the brightest and similar fabrics. I also added the border with butterflies on it just to make it bigger. I'll probably save it for a shower gift sometime in the future.

How was the concert?
James is playing a Rachmananoff piece for his recital when we get back from our cruise. Allison says it is bold and loud!
G and I are going to Caribb. with Allison and family tomorrow for 5 days, then back to her house for a few more days...lots happening incl. recital- will email you. Good job getting those quilts to the Hum. Center...Bless you !
