This quilt is owned by Jan Knight, a friend in the ward here. Her grandmother made it at least 40 years ago out of any old scrap and filled it with old towels or whatever. It was stored away and some mice had gotten to it. There were several ragged holes in it. Since Jan and her husband Ken have helped us several times in our house, I was happy to take on the project of repairing it. It wouldn't pass a good appraisers criticism, but at least now Jan can display the quilt without ragged holes.

A few things that have taken up my time. Moab car show where thousands of foreigners invade Moab. Stay off main street! Cleaning the house bit by bit. Big RS lesson this Sunday, glad that's over. Yard work, the annual spring cleanup. I put silk flowers in the pots in the front yard. I tried real flowers once and watering them twice a day wasn't enought, they died and no they didn't drown. This is the desert!

We had 2 young men stay with us last night - they were from LDS institute in Logan taking a traveling show to various places - titled "In Defense of the Family." Very timely and well done program. Everyone in the show needed places to stay so we had two.

In our book club, my book for June is "John Adams" which is a big book but very great. My friend in Ogden says she has tickets to see the author speak at the tabernacle in SLC May 9. I may go up for that, along with the quilts show also this weekend.

Our youngest daughter, Lisa, is on "tour" with Weber State's Institute - Choralaires and Folk Dancers. They are doing the same thing as the kids from Utah State. Hope to see you Saturday. Love this quilt too - how nice of you to repair it!
