Did you know that Portland, Oregon is known as the City of Roses. Our tour guide told us that many years ago, someone started planting roses. I can't remember the whole story. Anyway, now there's a huge rose garden and it is beautiful. We were here the last day of our tour. I wasn't going to take many pictures but I kept seeing another rose that needed to be in a picture. The tour guide said the deer in the near forests see this garden and see masses of M & Ms. They keep deer out by watering everything between 2:00am and 4:00am. This was July, near the end of the good season, and stilll they were inspiring.
